MAC A Tartan Tale Holiday Collection... and a Tartan Look ;-)

Beauties Play it Cool Palette, Courting Lilac Lipstick, Sir Teddy (isn't he cute? :-))

On Tuesday, MAC released Chapter I of it's 2010 Holiday Collection "A Tartan Tale" and as the name says, everything is designed in a scottish tartan pattern. I got Beauties Play it Cool 6 Eyes Palette, Courting Lilac l/s and since I have a passion for teddy bears, the cute Sir Teddy :-) It's kind of a Charity Teddy, by buying this teddy the money goes to MAC AIDS fund...

I did not swatch them since there are tons of swatches in the www...

Silverwear reminds me on the light lavender tone in the "In the Gallery" Quad from the Makeup Art Collection 2009, just with a little bit more silver sheen in it. Hold My Gaze is close to the greyish-olive tone in the "Photo Realism" Quad. To the Ball is comparable to Scene e/s from the permanent line. Altered State is something between Nocturnelle and Satellite Dreams e/s. Magic Moor is close to Contrast e/s. And Heather Belles? Dunno, lol... maybe like Plumage? I don't own any eyeshadow which is comparable to this one.

Courting Lilac is a mid-toned, sheer lavender shade. It's my first Glaze Lipstick. The colour is very, very close to "Aristo-Cat" from the Fabulous Felines LE, though it has a Frost finish. I would have liked to compare them, but I can't find Aristo-Cat right now, lol. Maybe later. You can see lip swatches in the following pictures of my Tartan Tale look.

MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme

Seit ein paar Wochen gibt es im MAC Sortiment die Pro Longwear Lipcremes. Sie sollen wie der Name schon sagt besonders lang halten, angeblich bis zu 12 Stunden.
Ich habe mir zwei Farben gekauft, Unlimited und Overtime.

Since a few weeks, MAC has a new product in it's permanent line: Pro Longwear Lipcreme. The should have a very long staying power, up to 12 hours. I picked up 2 colours, Unlimited and Overtime.

Unlimited ist ein mittlerer Rosenholzton. Es ist ähnlich (aber nicht gleich) wie Brave oder Cosmo.
Unlimited is a muted, mid-toned rose. It's close (but not similar) to Brave and Cosmo Lipstick.

Overtime ist ein helles Babyrosa und sieht eigentlich fast genauso aus wie Creme Cup.

Overtime is a light baby pink and is very similar to Creme Cup Lipstick.

Die Konsistenz ist sehr cremig. Von der Haltbarkeit sind sie ungefähr so wie die matten Lippenstifte, nicht wirklich länger. Leider halten bei mir Lippenstifte nie sehr lang. Wenn ich nicht esse oder trinke, hält der bei mir vielleicht 3-4 Stunden und verblasst dann langsam. Wenn ich aber esse und trinke, dann ist er in 1-2 Stunden weg, wenn nicht sofort. Bei mir überlebt selten ein Lippenstift länger als 1 Stunde. Leider auch dieser nicht. Es ist also nicht unbedingt die neueste Innovation, man kann getrost bei den normalen Lippenstiften bleiben.

The consistency is very creamy. The staying power is comparable to MAC matte lipsticks, not really longer. Lipsticks in general do not stay very long on my lips. If i do not eat or drink, it stays about 3-4 hours. But if I do, the lipstick is gone in 1-2 hours or earlier. I don't have many lipsticks staying more than 1 hour. And this Lipcreme doesn't either. So it's not a new innovation at all... you can stay with your regular lipsticks as well.

CUT!

Hey guys!!!

I know I've been not here for SO LONG! SORRY! I was so busy with work and real life that I couldn't find any time to do some blogspot... and, honestly, sometimes I was just too lazy.

So... there is a big change happened about 3 weeks ago... I got my 60cm long hait SHORTCUT!
I didn't feel comfortable any longer with this long hair... it looked alwas boring and didn't have any volume... it was also damaged by countless colouring experiments. And then I saw one of my customers who had long hair before and then got her hair cut in this style... and I was just like "WOW!" So I decided to do that step and I didn't regret it yet for one second.

Please excuse my shiny and untidy look, it was a long day and my makeup was done 9 hrs before, lol

I also got light blonde highlights all over my head ... if anyone with my complexion wants to wear blonde hair, a light silver blonde should be chosen. Any gold blondes look horrible to my skintone.

The hair in my neck isn't too short, so it strechtes my silhouette and doesn't appear too short and masculine.

Matte Brown Smokey Eyes

Today I created some matte brown smokey eyes... I know you may be sick of me doing smokey eyes but I'll love them forever, lol... it's always special.

The lipstick (Creme D'Nude) looks ridiculously light in these pictures, in person it doesn't, but I would NOT recommend it to anyone with a darker complexion than I have (NC35)... it would look totally pale and dead.

Hey yall!

I took a look at the new MAC To the Beach Collection. It didn't seem too interesting to me at all. I already had 2 items in my collection: Refined Golden bronzer and Humid eyeshadow (they're from the permanent line). So I decided just to go for Hipness blush.

Hipness Blush is a bright coral shade with a hint of pink. It is a frost finish and a nice blush for summer tanned skin.

In love with Cremesheen Lipsticks!

Hey guys!

I am totally in love with Cremesheen Lipsticks. It's my absolutely favourite finish next to Amplified. Currently I own 5 of them, I hope there will come out more nice colours.
I got 2 new Cremesheen lippies on friday.

The Cremesheen Gang *lol* (from left to right) Lavender Whip, Creme Cup, Shy Girl, Ever Hip (LE), Ravishing

Ravishing is one of the new lipsticks I got on friday. It's a totally gorgeous orangey-coral colour which looks fabulous on beauties with tanned skin. I like to pair it with Melba or Hipness blush.

Ever Hip (Give me the Liberty of London LE) is also a coral coloured lipstick, but more on the pink side. It's a little bit more toned down than Ravishing. Like to wear it with Hipness or Fleur Power blush.

Shy Girl is one of my favourite lipsticks ever! It's a light, nude peach and I think everyone with a little tan can wear it. Looks very good with Melba, Hipness or Peachykeen blush.

Creme Cup is the second of my new lipsticks and my favourite nude pink lipstick ever! Wow, I think everyone between NC15-NC45 shade will look gorgeous with it. It's not too "barbie" and not too neutral as well. My favourite blushes to pair with this one are Well Dressed and Dame.

Lavender Whip is one of the most-wanted shades MAC ever promoted (I think so, lol). This light lavender shade is very "different" and not everyone can wear it. Some hate it on me, some love it... well, I love it, hehe. Looks good with Dame, Dirty Plum and On a Mission (LE) blush.

April 2010 Nails: Brown Sugar and Caramel

It's so cute, isn't it? It reminds me of brown sugar with some caramel flowing...

I got them more rounded this time because it's easier to work with. It's not a pleasure for my customers if I scratch along their faces with square shaped nails...

P.S.: The nail of the middle finger isn't shorter, it's just the angle of the camera that makes it appear shorter...

Give me the Liberty of London Lipstick Swatches!

So this is part 2 of my haul! I bought 3 lipsticks from the "Give me the Liberty of London" LE which will come out in Germany around April 1st! Unfortunately it will be store exclusive here =( so I ordered these 3 babies together with my Colour 3 Quad in the U.S.

I've been so fixed on by those 3 lipsticks when I saw swatches, so I needed to get em!

Blooming Lovely, Ever Hip, Petals & Peacocks

The design is so cute... and I even love the birdy side (yes Zerin, I do! haha)

Petals & Peacocks (Amplified): I never mentioned wearing this kind of shade but now I wanted to try it out and wow, I think it looks good on me! hehe. It is described as a bright fuchsia pink, and I don't have any shades to compare with. Many say it is comparable to Show Orchid or Gladiola (LE).

Ever Hip (Cremesheen): I love Cremesheen lipsticks and I love peaches and corals (maybe I'll go for Peachstock l/s later) so I had to get this! It is buildable in colour like every cremesheen and a little more darker and coral than Shy Girl

Blooming Lovely (Amplified) is like a more toned down version of Lavender Whip (LE). Since it is an amplified, it is more pigmented. Lavender whip is a bit more pink, while blooming lovely has a mauvey grey undertone, but there is no big difference at all. So if you missed Lavender Whip, you should give this a try!

Colour 3 Quad

Some new Maccies arrived today and of course I want to show you what I got =) I decided to split it into 2 postings so that they wouldn't be too long and heavy... lol
So let's begin with the Colour 3 Quad from the Spring Colour Forecast LE!

At first I decided to skip this quad because I have so much purples in my palette and it seemed to be very similar to the In the Gallery Quad from the Makeup Art LE last year which I own. Then... when I saw swatches I changed and wanted to have this, because the colours are unique... and it was sold out everywhere =( But I had the chance to order it from the U.S. and so I didn' hesitate, lol

Top row: Mink Pink, Bruised Plum
Bottom row: Black Tulip, Jungle Moon (I LOVE the names... did you ever buy something just because of it's name? lol)

Mink Pink (Veluxe) is a light yoghurt pink shade. The finish feels like matte but a little bit creamy. I never had an eyeshadow with this finish before.

Bruised Plum (Veluxe Pearl) is like a more pink toned version of shale.

Black Tulip (Frost) is like a mix between Satellite Dreams and Nocturnelle from the permanent line. I don't know why it's called Frost because it doesn't feel like a frost, more like a Veluxe Pearl.

Jungle Moon (matte) is a dark eggplant colour. It is much more pigmented than the darkest colour of the In the Gallery Quad.

So the quads have a new design... I love it, it looks more sophisticated, doesn't it? This is the Colour 3 Quad (left) compared to In the Gallery Quad (right) which has the old design

You see the colours are very different. Colour 3 is much more pigmented while In the Gallery is more on the pastel side.

Coastal Scents HD Foundation!

I want to introduce to you my biggest surprise in "the neverending story of finding the right makeup". It's the Coastal Scents Undercover High Definition Foundation!

Note: I purchased these products on my own, I don't have any connections to Coastal Scents. I'll review in my honest opinion.

Coastal Scents Undercover HD Foundation ST-04 and ST-05.

I read so many raving reviews about this foundation, but also some who were disappointed. I was not sure if I should try it, because I already had 2 foundations (and 2 shades of each), plus I didn't know which colour of the wide range (14 shades available!) I should choose. It's hard to decide when you just have pics from the internet, but I changed when I noticed that you can now order samples of it to choose the right shade! One sample is just about $0.49 and with my last order I got a sample of the foundation in ST-04, which is said to be the right shade for the NC30 or NC25 range.

When I received the sample, I put the foundation on in the morning around 10 a.m. Then we went outside to have a nice day. I noticed the shade was too light for me. I'm not really an NC25, more of an NC30-35, but I own this shade to mix it with darker ones... think I would need an NC27 in winter and an NC32-35 in summer... two of these shades don't exist, so I mix it. Anyway, it was too light, but it didn't bother me much, I wanted to give it a try, though I still was very sceptical. My past experiences with foundations tought me, that a low priced foundation cannot be very good...

The first thing surprising me was the finish in combination to my dry skin. The finish is definately matte (but not powdery or chalky!) and I always had problems with matte finishes, my skin looked dry and flakey. But with this foundation my skin didn't look flaky, it looked just matte, poreless and evenly. It was very easy to apply it as I do with all my foundations, using a flat top brush.

The coverage is buildable from light to medium without looking cakey. It feels very lightweight, which is good.

After I was out all day I came back about 8 p.m. and looked into the mirror. That was the biggest surprise: The foundation was still there. Completely. It didn't run or set in my dry areas, it was still where I applied it. And I still looked matte... wow! I really love my MAC foundations and they had been the best-lasting foundations I had... till I tried this one out.

The next good thing: It didn't oxidize. Most of the foundations oxidize on my skin but this one stood true in colour.

So on the same evening I ordered two full sizes of CS HD Foundation. ST-04 and ST-05 for $16.95 each. This is about 10€, just to compare, MAC foundations are around 29€.

The packaging is a little bit cheap looking (by the way, it's plastic, not glass). I love expensive looking packages but at least the content is more important.

It has a plastic pump. It's easy to handle but I heard, some have problems with it... dunno...

No flash

I'd say Satinfinish NC25 and ST-04 look similar. Studio Sculpt NC25 is just a tiny bit darker. I would recommend it for beauties with NC25 shade.

No flash

ST-05 is a little bit darker than MAC Mineralize Satinfinish NC30 and a little bit lighter than Studio Sculpt NC40. The MAC foundations look more yellow, while ST-05 has kind of an apricot undertone (ST-04 doesn't!). On my skin it looks absolutely okay, I don't look orange or anything, but some may have problems with this shade. I would recommend this to the NC30-35 range.

Summary:

Pro+ :

- a wide range of shades to choose from

- natural and matte finish

- can be used by nearly every skin type, even dry skin

- high staying power

- low price

- you need smallest amount (just 1 pump for the whole face)

Con-:

- cheap looking packaging

- only yellow based shades (beauties in the NW range will have problems to find the right shade)

- you can only get it online (but you can get samples to try the shades before buying fullsize)

I would definately recommend it.

Spring Colour Forecast & Viva Glam Gaga Swatches

Colour Me Coral Lipstick

I was very sceptical because normally I don't like frost finishes but this lipstick doesn't look chunky at all. It has a nice sheen and looks fabulous to tanned skin.

Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick

I know many will hate this colour on me, lol. But I like it. Since it is a Lustre, the colour is buildable. It reminds me of Snob l/s from the permanent line.

Sorry, my lips are still inflamed and have no contour :-(

Culture Clash Lipgloss

It appears very poppy in the tube but when worn it has a nice sheer pink sheen with fine glitter.

I didn't manage to get a swatch of Nanogold e/s... the flash of my camera always killed it. And without flash it was still invisible.

In the pan it appears like a light golden sparkly tone, but when worn it has a light pearly pink sheen to it, which reminds me of Seedy Pearl e/s from the permanent line.

News in my beautycase!

I got a few new things in january/february and now I found the time to take some pictures =)

MAC Eyeshadows: Paradisco, Swish, Hepcat (top row), Electra, Silver Ring (middle row), Cork, Woodwinked (bottom row)

Paradisco is such a gorgeous colour but very sheer on my complexion. I need to grub in the pan to get a visible amount of colour :(

Swish is a nice, blue-based poppy pink. It goes very well with brown eyes and has a little metalic shimmer in it.

Hepcat is a darker purple pink. It looks great paired with Swish!

Electra is the classic silver eyeshadow with a hint of blue, but not as much as Silverthorn e/s.

Silver Ring is a shimmery steel grey with a hint of blue, too, it's like a darker version of Electra.

Cork is a matte, mid-toned brown every palette needs. I was looking for Saddle e/s but it was sold out everywhere. So I got Cork as an alternative and it works great.

Woodwinked looks like a mix of antique gold and bronze. You should try it with Quite Natural Paint Pot as a base, it looks faboulous because it brings out the opulent, golden shimmer.

MAC Lipsticks: Ruby Woo (left) and Velvet Teddy

MAC Ruby Woo is a classic, blue-based red. It's the first choice for girls of my complexion if they look for a classic and bold red. It's a matte finish, on the picture I wear it with a small amount of clear gloss on top.

MAC Velvet Teddy is a matte, dark beige. It looks like my lips, just a few darker. So for pigmented lips it's a typical MLBB (my lips but better) shade. I love to wear it in everyday looks.

I finally purchased my very first Benefit products. They were in sale, 7.99€ each. I bought "Her Glossiness A-list" lipgloss in"didn't hear it from me" (what a name for a lipgloss! lol) and "The Gloss" lipgloss in "rave reviews". I love the packaging, it reminds me of the 50ies.

Rave Reviews looks like a dark red in the tube, but on my lips it is sheer. It makes my lips look a little bit more red and healthier.

Didn't hear it from me is a cute peachy pink shade in the tube, but on my pigmented lips it is invisible, so I didn't bother doing any lip swatches. But it looks great on top of peach or peachy pink lipsticks like MAC Shy Girl.

MAC All Ages, All Races, All Sexes Haul and Swatches!

Heyho!
I grabbed some things from the All Ages, All Races, All Sexes Collection which came out in Germany around the last weekend. The idea of this collection is to present colours, which should be wearable for everyone now matter how old, how dark or light or whatever ;-) I didn't plan to buy as much but those babies cried "Buy me!" lol I know I'm insane.

That's my little haul (clockwise from the top): Mink Brow Set, Glamour for All Lipglass, Spirit & Soul Lipglass, Showstopper Eyeshadow, Empowered Lipstick.

I bought Mink Brow Set because I like Brow Sets to keep my brows in shape and make them appear fuller. I own Show Off but this is too warm and red. Mink ist the perfect colour, it's like Showstopper as a brow set, so I bought this and will give Show Off away.

Showstopper is a dark, cool brown. It's like Satin Taupe in a much darker and matte version (although I think the finish is Satin... or Velvet? I'll have a look at it). It's close to Night Manoeuvres from the Style Warrior LE. Night Manoeuvres is just a little lighter and has a tiny different undertone.

This is Glamour for all Lipglass. I've been looking out for a milky pink and opaque lipglass and now I found it. It is not as sheer as the most ligplasses from the past collections (in the last time... don't you think MAC made their lipglasses sheerer and sheerer? There have been tons of lipglasses, which looked nice in the tube but invisible on my lips!)

This is Spirit & Soul Lipglass. I bought this to have a "partner" for my brown lipsticks. This is a coconutty colour with some frost.

Empowered Lipstick (Satin) -I know this swatch looks very untidy, I have dried out lips and forgot to wear a lipliner. When I began doing makeup I only wore brown lipsticks. Later I began to hate them because they looked "old fashioned"... well, it's a question of taste and it depends on the brown you're using. Empowered is a timeless classic brown shade and I'm looking forward to wear it with golden eye makeups.

Empowered Lipstick paired with Spirit & Soul Lipglass.

I want to introduce to you my favourite, favourite shampoo and conditioner ever:

Revlon MOP Glisten Shampoo and Conditioner!

I've been using this since february 2009, but because of the price I tried some other things out in the meantime, which were also really good and less expensive, but nothing satisfied me as much (lol) as the MOP Glisten series.

MOP is a "daughter" of Revlon and means "modern organic products". It's not that typical natural cosmetics, but not that conventional stuff either. I'd say it's a mix between both. It has 3 different series: Basics, C-System and Glisten. If you want to learn more, have a look at their SITE!

MOP Glisten Shampoo

My Review:

Because of colouring my hair is kinda damaged, of course... the lenghts are dried out and my very fine hair is not very voluminous. No matter what shampoo I use, after washing my hair always feels like felt or straw and it badly needs a conditioner or there is NO WAY to comb or brush it! Really, NO WAY! Glisten is the only shampoo which has not that "felting" effect... I can comb my hair without using a conditioner, it's like a miracle, lol. Although my hair feels clean and refreshed, and very soft and light and after drying it is fluffy and voluminous. I love the smell but it doesn't last very long.

The only con is the price, I paid 14,95€ (Germany). But it's worth it!

My review:

This conditioner has the most unique consistency of all conditioners I ever used. It's not thick and creamy as usual, it's more like a light, white-transparent gel, very nurturing but not weighing down the hair in any way. I used a different conditioner in the past few months (Sante Brilliant Care) which I really liked, but I felt it was too rich and heavy for my fine hair. This light consistency is much better. It has the same orangey fragrance like the shampoo. After using it, my hair combs very smoothly and after drying, it is shiny and voluminous. What could a shampoo and conditioner do more for you? lol

But the same contra here: The price. 15,95€

MAC Warm & Cozy Haul and Swatches!

Hey guys!

So I've been waiting for this collection for such a long time, it felt like years, lol... it's really my kind of colours but surprisingly I skipped all of the eyeshadows. At first I wanted to get Modelette and Mulled Cider, but Mulled Cider seemed be to close to Swiss Chocolate from the permanent line so I didn't need that one. And Modelette... well, I think I own enough of these beige-brown shades.

So that's my haul. You may laugh, but this is the most expensive MAC LE I've ever had, lol... I got both MSFs, By Candlelight and Comfort, both of the Tinted Lip Conditioners (Feelin' Good and Close for Comfort) and the Nailpolish Blissed Out.

I know many find the MSFs boring because there have been so much similar shades in previous LEs, but I love them and since I'm not the biggest MSF collector, I didn't own that kind of shades yet.

I expected the Tinted Lip Conditioners to be a little bit more pigmented, because the Pink Fish TLC from the Hello Kitty LE was quite pigmented. But they just add a hint of colour on my lips (and taste like vanilla pudding with tons of sugar and a little perfume, lol). I like the feeling they leave on my lips. It's moisturizing and creamy, but not sticky.

(Übrigens, ein kleiner Hinweis vorweg: Wenn ihr mich für irgendwas tagged, sagt mir bitte hier im Blog Bescheid. fashionvictim hat das jetzt zum Glück gemacht, aber da ich nicht jeden Tag jeden abonnierten Blog lese, merke ich manchmal erst nach Wochen, dass mich jemand getagged hat...)

Von welcher Marke hast du die meisten Kosmetikprodukte?

Eindeutig: MAC. Aber auch noch einiges von L'Oréal (besonders Mascaras und Kajals) und Coastal Scents.

Wie schminkst du dich meistens?

Ich mache, ehrlich gesagt, kaum einen Unterschied zwischen "Arbeits-Makeup" und "Ausgeh-Makeup". Ich mache, außer ich bin krank, zu spät aufgestanden oder extrem unlustig, eigentlich immer das volle Programm mit Foundation, Concealer, Puder, Rouge, Lidschatten, Eyeliner, Kajal, Mascara, Lippenstift/Lipgloss. Sonst fühle ich mich irgendwie "nackt". Auch farblich bin ich jederzeit experimentierfreudig.

Was ist dein Kosmetiktick?

Lidschatten. Ich liebe Lidschatten in allen Farben, Finishes und Texturen. Da ich finde, dass die Augen der schönste Teil meines Gesichts sind, lege ich besonderen Wert darauf, diese schön und oft auch etwas auffälliger zu betonen.
In letzter Zeit habe ich aber auch Blush für mich entdeckt und bin ständig auf der Jagd nach neuen Farben. Letztes Jahr um die Zeit habe ich fast nie welchen benutzt, aber im letzten halben Jahr habe ich eine Palette gefüllt und ich liebe sie alle...

Wer ist dein Stylingvorbild?

Ich habe kein konkretes Vorbild, aber ich orientiere mich stilmäßig vor allem an Bollywood-Schauspielerinnen, außerdem mag ich das Makeup von Kim Kardashian fast immer sehr gern.

Wie bist du gerade geschminkt?

Gerade in diesem Moment bin ich ungeschminkt ;-) Ich fange aber gleich an, diesen Zustand zu ändern und schminke mir den Kim Kardashian Look, den ich gestern gepostet habe.

A Mauve and Blue Look (Video Tutorial)

Today I decided to do another video tutorial, even to experiment a little bit with the camera settings, lol. I think it made a little effort.

When I did the Eye Makup with Shale last week, I asked for ideas to combine MAC SHale Eyeshadow with other colours. I was given the tip tp use it together with Contrast Eyeshadow, and well, this is a great tip, isn't it? I think those colours look gorgeous together.

Today I want to show you my mini haul from the new MAC Love Lace Limited Edition.

I bought Love Lace and Suave Intentions e/s which are really pretty colours. Suave Intentions is very similar to Tilt e/s form the permanent line, but it has a more silvery undertone.

I also got Light Affair Nail Lacquer (cream finish) since I find it an unique and opaque colour.

The rest of the LE didn't seem so interesting to me. I know everyone raves about Feline Eye Khol, but I have enough good eye khols in my beautycase so I didn't need another one.

I know it's super messy and untidy... I just wanted to give you an idea of the colour.

MAC Eyeshadows renamed?

I don't know if you heard anything about it, but when I looked at the german MAC Online Shop today, I noticed that MAC seemingly wants to rename some eyeshadows, because some of them suddenly got two names.

Ich weiß nicht, ob ihr was darüber gehört habt, aber als ich heute auf den MAC Online Shop ging, hab ich bemerkt, dass MAC scheinbar einige Lidschatten umbenennen will, denn einuge von ihnen haben plötzlich zwei Namen...

Following eyeshadows seem to be renamed:

Shale & I'ts getting dark again

On friday I got MACs Shale eyeshadow. Everyone was raving about it and it was said to be such an unique shade. Well, I find it pretty. But now that I have it, I don't know how to combine it, except of my usual purples and browns. So this is a boring look, I know.
Does anyone of you own Shale and have an idea how to combine it in another way?

My new sculpted nails

On saturday a dear friend of mine sculpted and styled my nails. She used nail tips to lengthen my natural nails and different UV-gels on top. I wanted to have french nails with white flower stickers. Since it is gel, it won't remove like nail polish. I can also put nail polish on top and remove it woth acetone-free nail polish remover - the "pattern" created with UV gel will stay. This is so great.

You mustn't be afraid of broken nails anymore. They last until they are grown out and you can use them like you would use your natural fingernails.

I highly recommend this method for everyone who has problems with breaking or dense nails. Try it!

MAC Christmas Haul

This is my MAC Christmas Haul (part 1 maybe, lol). On wednesday I had the chance to went to a MAC Counter, as we went to Dresden. I Back2MACed another lipstick (Snob... so cute!) and bought some other things as well. Besides I ordered 2 Refills and a new Eyeshadow Palette from another MAC Counter in Munich, which arrived yesterday.

My little haul from Dresden. I bought Select Cover-Up Concealer to give my undereye circles a little more coverage in winter, since they appear darker in this season :-(

2 new refills. I wanted Parfait Amour for a long time and finally I got it. The other brown eyeshadows I got because I'm on the brown trip right now, lol

Mocha, isn't it gorgeous? This colour is kinda neutral (not warm or cold either) and will fit to nearly every eye makeup.

MAC Snob with some transparent lipgloss on top (since it is a satin, it may appear to dry on your lips when you wear it alone). Such a cute Bubblegum Pink.

Magic, Mirth and some other Mischief!

I got mail today! 3 packages with cute things within, lol. I needed a new coat for winter, because I got TO FAT for my old ones! OMG! That makes me so sick, lol... but I'm so frustrated and start eating everytime I can. But the new coat fits nice and has a gorgeous purple colour ♥

Anyway, I want to show you my new little haul. Finally we've got a MAC Online Store in Germany. YAY! I ordered just a few things, because they still don't have eyeshadow refills. They will be available in about 2 weeks.

I decided to try out the Brush Cleanser. It impresses me how fast the bristles get dry after cleansing. Wow it's way better than my self mixed cleanser, though this was good too.

Those 5 mini lipglasses are from the Mischief Makers Lipglass Set "Models Misbehaving". Aren't they cute? I'll do some lip swatches soon.

This is my first full size Paint Pot! To date I just got samples from some friends. This colour comes out like coffee with milk. It's so cute and works great underneath brown and neutral eyeshadows. I think this will be neutral base for darker skinned women, too.

5 reasons why you need MAC Fix+

Fix+ is a MAC product from the permanent line. It is described as a fixing spray which contains vitamins, minerals, green tea, chamomille and cucumber. But many ask: Do I really need this product? I say: YES. And I give you 5 reasons, why you need Fix+ =)

1. Fixing your Make Up:

This is the primal purpose for this product. A spritz of Fix+ on your done Make Up makes it last much longer and gives you a natural glow and provides a cakey and overpowdered look.

2. Apply Foundation flawlessly:

Today I tried out my new MAC Swimming Eyeshadow. It's so cute and it can be very vibrant if you pat it on.
Unfortunately I didn't get any good pictures of my whole face today. I don't like how I'm looking these days. I've never looked so white and tired in my life. I hate it, if my skin appears that white. It gets such a muddy grey undertone then. But my health problems keep on tiring me and I don't leave the house very often. :-(

Some new Maccies ♥

Hey guys! Some new Maccies found their new home in my palettes, lol.

Peachykeen Blush: This is a Sheertone Shimmer Blush. I looked for a peachy blush, at first I wanted to have Melba, but since it is a matte (and I'm not so into matte blushes) I decided for Peachykeen. So cute and gives a very warm glow.

Beauty Marked Eyeshadow: I wanted a kinda darker version of Sketch to darken my crease more but don't use black, especially on purple or brown Eye Make Up. Beauty Marked is a Velvet finished eyeshadow, like a black-brown with bordeaux red glitter.

Tilt Eyeshadow: I'm not kidding, this is the very first lighter blue eyeshadow I bought in my whole life. I've always been afraid of light blue eyeshadows, because there have been so much cruel make ups with that kind of shade in the past, lol, and much people think of prostitutes with light blue eyeshadow and red lips. Well, I don't want to wear it that way. I think in combination with Prussian, Deep Truth or Contrast it will look pretty. Its finish is Frost.

Swimming Eyeshadow: Since I am into greens, I had to get this. It's a little bit more blueish and intense than Juxt. It is a Lustre... I know many people don't like Lustres because they find it too glittery, but I like this finish and with a good base on they last as long as any other finish.

I will try out some of them tomorrow. Maybe I'll do a new FOTD.

Ich möchte euch ein Produkt vorstellen, das es mir sehr angetan hat: Der Lakshmi Khol Kajal Cold.

Lakshmi ist eine Firma für ayurvedische Kosmetik. Ayurveda ist eine Art indische Heilkunst. Neben den Kajals gibt es auch noch Lippenstifte, Parfums, etc. Für weitere Infos schaut einfach die Website an, www.lakshmi.de

Es gibt diesen Kajal in verschiedenen Ausführungen: Normal, Cold, Sensitive und für Männer (der ist dann farblos). Außerdem wird noch zwischen den richtigen Khol Kajals, die mit Kohlenstoff aus Bio-Ghee geschwärzt sind, und farbigen Kajals unterschieden.

Ich habe mich für einen schwarzen Khol Kajal Cold entschieden. Diese Version enthält Kampfer, was eine kühlende Wirkung hat. Der Kajal ist besonders gut für die Wasserlinie geeignet und schützt vor Fremdkörpern und Entzündungen. Durch die zusammenziehende Wirkung der Inhaltsstoffe sollen sich asuch kleine Äderchen zusammenziehen und die Augen dadurch weißer wirken. So einen Effekt kann ich durchaus beobachten.

Ich finde dieses kühlende Gefühl sehr angenehm, zumal ich sehr sensible Augen habe die öfters mal gerötet und leicht entzündet sind. Trotzdem will ich gerne immer Kajal tragen, das gehört für mich einfach dazu als alte Bollywood-Schranze *lol* und so war das genau die richtige Alternative für mich.

Von der Haltbarkeit her unterscheidet er sich nicht von anderen Kajalstiften.

Preislich gesehen ist dieser Kajal natürlich heftig, ich habe rund 19€ dafür im Online-Versand bezahlt. Aber für Leute mit sensiblen Augen und welche, die viel am PC arbeiten oder lange Autofahrten machen lohnt sich das schon.

Meiner Meinung nach ein bisschen unpraktisch ist die Mine. Sie ist kegelförmig (siehe Foto), und je weiter man runterkommt, desto klobiger wird sie. Da wird dann zum Auftragen ein Applikator oder Pinselchen empfohlen. Soweit bin ich noch nicht, aber ich kann mir vorstellen, dass das mit Pinsel auf der Wasserlinie nicht so prickelnd ist...
Mal sehen, was ich da noch für eine Lösung finde.

Aber für euch erstmal eine dicke Empfehlung von mir für dieses Produkt!

Some new Haul Pictures

Hey guys!

In the past few weeks I got some new MACCIES and I'll show it to you today.

In the Gallery Quad: This is from the Make Up Art Cosmetics LE, designed by Richard Philips, like the Photo Realism Quad, too.
Some say that colours are chalky and don't have much payoff, but this is not true.
You should never judge an Eyeshadow by handswatches. On my hands, swatches are always sheer and not very impressing. But on lid, with a base, these colours look definately NOT chalky! They are really beautiful and I must confess, surprisingly I prefer this quad to Photo Realism. Those colours are perfect and so gorgeous especially for dark brown or green eyes. Believe me! lol. This Quad shouldn't be put down so much.

I'll do a look with this quad to show you, how gorgeous the colours really are.

Nymphette Lipglass: I wanted to have this since I saw it on a counter in August. Finally I got it! I like this, it is a rose but also lil bit peachy colour with golden shimmer in it. I couldn't catch this effect on my pictures, sorry :-(

Here are some swatches:

Sorry, you can see all my discolorations around my mouth area. I didn't have any make up on.

Goldmine Eyeshadow: I thought about getting this when I saw a few tutorials by lovely Zerin. This is a Desi Colour which fits nice to nearly everything, especially browns, reds/pinks and greens.

Prussian Eyeshadow: I'm not the biggest fan of blue Eyeshadows, but this is the sort of blue I really love. It's a Matte² Finish and very pigmented.

Because yesterday (September 25) was my 23th birthday, I got some money and of course I bought some new MAC items, lol.

Breezy Blush: Breezy is a rose-berry coloured sheertone blush. Berry colours are very popular this fall. I didn't try it out on my cheeks yet (I will do this afternoon) but in the pan and on my hand it looks so gorgeous.

Girlie Eyeshadow: This is the old rose shade I looked for a long time. Yippie! lol

Omega Eyeshadow: I wanted a neutral beige which comes close to my natural lid colour (or a little bit darker). This will be perfect for any neutral look.

This is the "famous" Photo Realism Quad:

Photo Realism: A light golden shade, it's like ricepaper with a hint of green in it

Fresh Approach: This is a light, cool minty green. If you have my complexion (or even darker) you have to pat it on to "notice" the colour. But it's pretty though.

Image Maker: This is my personal favourite in this quad. It is a mid-tone grey-green, a special colour I'd say, but so wearable!

Grey Range: I find it a little bit comparable to Antique Green Pigment (I should make some swatches comparing them!), I really love shades like that.

By the way... after doing my eye make up, I had a HORRIBLE accident! The Quad fell down on the floor and the Grey Range Eyeshadow broke into pieces!!! Waaah... I picked all the powder up (luckily it broke into 4 or 5 big chunks), mixed it with alcohol, did it back into the pan, let it dry and pressed it... it worked, fortunately... Sometimes I hate me and my dullness, lol

Swatches are made on NC30-35 skin

Young Thing Lipglass:

This is a very light beige shade. If you have lips just a few more pigmented than mine, you can't wear it alone (or you would look awful, lol).

I'm sorry I don't pot this frequently at the moment, but I have some problems in my family life... My beloved grandmother is in hospital and we still don't know what's wrong with her. We hope it is not cancer or anything like that :-(

On friday last week there was a sale 14% off the whole Coastal Scents Website. I did order some cute things ;-) And today they finally arrived. YAY! And of course I tried them out at once.

(What do you think about my trashy basket? LOL)

1. Synthetic Shadow Brush: It has the ideal size to put on lid colour. It is so dense and doesn't prick my eyelid anyway. Good colour payoff, you can pat the colour on and blend it as well. I bought 2 of them, because when I use one I can wash the other and let it dry in the meantime.

2. Flat Liner Contour Brush: This one is very dense, but pointy too, so it gives a very natural result if you put on Brow Powder with it. You can do your eyeliner with this brush as well.

3. Chisel Fluff Medium Shadow Brush: A good brush for some details, especially putting colour on the inner or outer corner of the eyelid. It feels really comfortable and works good.

4. Angled Liner Pro Art Detail Brush: The one who forged this must have been a genius, lol. I really love Gel Liners, but I had some problems to put them on. It was hard to figure out the right angle and I always hit my mirror with the end of the brush... ouch! But that's no problem anymore, I think. I tried out this brush and that's my personal happy end für Gel Liners, lol. I can do a clean eyeline and don't hit the mirror anymore. LOVE IT!

5. Sifter Jar 30 gram and Mica Powder Plain: I already put some of the Mica Powder, mixed with the rest of my L'Oréal Mattifying Minerals Translucent Powder into this jar. I use this to put it under my eyes for any eyeshadow fallout and maybe to mix it with some pigments.

But the sifter is very loose in this jar, it always falls apart :-(

Gel Liner Truffle: I didn't have any brown liner yet, so I got this. A nice and softer alternative to black liner, it will look cute to any neutral look.

I will refer about Coastal Scents Gel Liners in a separate posting.

Project: Hair growing!

This is my biggest hair project ever! lol

I want to grow my hair way longer, at least Bra Strap Length (BSL). And, additional, I want to grow out my natural hair colour! I think, growing out the colour to BSL will take 3 years at least *sigh* But I'm missing the brilliance and structure of my natural hair. And I learned to love the colour.

Ok, this is was my length on August 1, 2009. My hair is not as orange in person, hehe

I will take this picture as the "beginning". Actually I'm growing my hair since January, but I needed this time to grow my Vic Beckham Bob out and getting an uniform length.

Those are my roots with the natural hair colour. Surprisingly light, eh?

From now on, I'll take a picture of my hair length every month and post it comparing to the length of the "beginning" in August 2009.

From time to time, I wanna introduce to you things I use frequently by doing Make up!
I'll begin with my favourite cheek products.

This is the Coastal Scents Contour Palette. I LOVE it and I use it everyday. The brown shade is perfect for contouring cheeks and the whole face as well. The white shade, mixed with the peachy or light pink shade, is a nice highlighter (a highlighter hasn't always to be glittery or something, it can be matte as well!). The blushes have a very good pigmentation. Use them carefully! And it was only about 18$... just get it!

From top to bottom:

I'd say, all shades are matte, the blushes may be a lil bit pearly, like MAC Satin or Velvet.

MAC Well Dressed Blush is my favourite, favourite everyday blush. It comes out really light on my complexion and you can never wear "too much". It gives you an absolutely natural looking. HIGHLY recommed it for all skintones between NC15 and NC42.

MAC Soft and Gentle MSF really is an allrounder. I frequently use it as a cheekbone highlight, but it can be used on the browbone or anything else as well. I thought it was the only MSF left in the permanent assortment.

All swatches are made on NC30 to NC35 skin.

Ok, and here are my 5 current obsessions!

1. These Shoes. I really, really wanna get them, I watch pictures of them everyday, lol. But I'm not able to get them in Germany, and ordering from U.S. is way too expensive at the moment :-(

2. Pizza with tons of Gouda Cheese and Gorgonzola. I'm craving for it nearly everyday (but I try to ignore it, hehe)... I buy a cheap Pizza Margherita and then I pimp it with this cheese. It's lige drugs, lol

3. Trying out Natural Cosmetics Shampoo. I discovered natural hair cosmetics for my hair, especially the brands Santé and Alverde. My hair looks WAY better since I use them instead of conventional Shampoos. YAY! And I have lots of fun and nice experiences these days trying them out.

4. Light Pink/Rosé. A year ago, around this time, I was so much into purple. I got everything in purple. Shoes, clothes, eyeshadows and so on. This year, it's light pink/rosé. LOVE IT! I still love purples, but pink is my current favourite.

5. Tunics/Empire Style Shirts. Since I haven't the best body shape, I like to wear tunics, because they cover my problem areas very well. I bought many of them in the past 3 months. They are so wearable and convenient in summer, too.

[German] Mein erster Tag

For my English Readers: Today I had my first day in cosmetology school. I decided to make my hobby my profession... very excited! I may get a Youtube channel in a few weeks and show you the skills I've learned! :-)

Heute hatte ich den ersten Tag an der Kosmetikerschule... schön und gut, aber ich dachte, ich sterbe. In dem Gebäude war es wie in einer Sauna, ich war viel zu warm angezogen und die haben gleich mit Unterricht begonnen und uns bis halb 4 sitzen lassen. Ich dachte echt, ich komm da nie wieder raus *lol* Jetzt bin ich dann auch fertig wie ein Schnitzel.

Haben heute schon die erste Liste bekommen, was wir kaufen müssen... Hand- und Nagelkram, Feilen, alles über die Schule bestellbar. Das wird noch schön ins Geld gehen...

Im Oktober gibt es dann schonmal 2 Wochen Schnupperpraktikum, bevor es im 2. Halbjahr dann richtig mit Praktika losgeht.

Morgen haben wir dan gleich 6 Stunden Hand- und Nagelpflege. Ich bin gespannt wie ein Flitzebogen, auch wenn mich das scheußliche, warme Wetter ankotzt und ich kaum weiß, wie ich es wieder von 8.00 Uhr bis 15.25 Uhr in diesem Gebäude aushalten soll ;-(

Die Klasse ist sehr durchwachsen, sowohl altersmäßig, als auch äußerlich.

Aber, gute Nachrichten von euch: Ich werde mir in absehbarer Zeit einen Youtube-Channel einrichten, wenn wir mal gescheit eine Cam installiert kriegen, und dann zeige ich euch ein bisschen was von dem, was ich gelernt hab ;-)

Lil MAC Haul

Yesterday I did Back2MAC again. Not in Dresden like I did last time, but in Leipzig. Luckily I had no problems giving back depotted eyeshadow pans.

As my Back2MAC Lipstick I chose Patisserie. This is a pinkish-beige lustre lipstick... the perfect MLBB colour. It comes close to Marquise D', but is a little bit more transparent and neutral.

I also tried Hue, but it was way to light.

And finally I got Lovechild Lipglass. I thought about getting it for a long time, but I wanted to see it in person. I really liked it, so I bought it. I am not that lipglass junkie, but there are some shades which are really gorgeous. I might get Nymphette sometime in future.

Heyho!
Da dies eine Empfehlung an meine deutschsprachigen Leser ist, da dieses Produkt in anderen Ländern nicht erhältlich ist, kommt auch dieses Posting auf Deutsch ;-)

Und zwar möchte ich euch Schminkverrückten, die sich ja auch wieder abschminken müssen, etwas empfehlen: Den Balea Augenmakeup-Entferner waterproof.
Der hat mich nämlich gestern echt überrascht.

Ich benutze ja sehr häufig wasserfeste Mascara, da bei nicht wasserfester meine Wimpern irgendwie immer sehr schnell wieder absinken. Aber das Abschminken ist halt immer so eine Sache, reiben, schrubben, und das, obwohl ich schon AMU-Entferner für wasserfestes Make Up benutzt habe.Hinzu kommt noch, dass ichg mega-empfindliche Augen habe. Ich habe dann meist den Nivea AMU-Entferner für sensible Augen benutzt, zuletzt irgendso ein Gel von L'Oréal, beides sehr teuer für so ein bisschen Zeugs, so 5-6€ für 100ml, und es hat trotzdem in den Augen gebrannt.
Da ich nun aber sparen muss, habe ich jetzt den AMU-Entferner von Balea (dm-Eigenmarke) mitgenommen, der unter 2€ kostete! Und was soll ich sagen, mich haut es doch glatt aus den Socken. Der ganze Krams geht mit wenigen mal wischen ab, ohne rubbeln und anstrengen, man braucht auch nur ein kleinwenig, und das wichtigste: Es brennt überhaupt nicht in den Augen!

Ich bin absolut begeistert und kann euch dieses Produkt nur wärmstes empfehlen, wenn ihr empfindliche Augen und immer so eure Schwierigkeiten mit dem Entfernen von wasserfestem MU habt. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist wirklich unschlagbar. Probiert es aus, für 1,45€ könnt ihr nicht viel falsch machen!

Heyho!
Today I got the Fresh Cut Palette from the new MAC Graphic Garden LE!
I decided to get this palette since I didn't really have many pink tones and no rose tones from MAC in my eyeshadow palette. It's really gorgeous, but I was a lil bit surprised, how small this palette is... humm....

The Palette contains: Floral Inc. (Frost), Bloomcycle (Veluxe Pearl), Sun-Shy (Lustre), Part Peony (Lustre), Poppy Noir (Velvet) and Fresh Cut (Veluxe Pearl)

Fresh Cut is very similar to Cranberry Eyeshadow, Cranberry has just a hint more of red in it.

Floral Inc. looks like if All that Glitters and Seedy Pearl had a baby ;-) a very sheer mixture of both.

I played around a lil bit with the layout... hope you like it!

I got some new things this week: NYX Jumbo Pencil Black Bean and NYX Turquoise Pigment. The last one was an accident, I ordered Coastal Scents Gel Liner Turquoise from a German Online Shop but she wrongly sent me the NYX pigment... so I complained and gave me the pigment as a present, but unfortunately the Turquoise Gel Liner was sold out, so I told her to send me Envious (green) instead. Maybe it will arrive tomorrow.

Tomorrow I'll do a look with it. Be curious ;-)

By the way, I found this pic lol (what a dirty mirror!). It was from a year ago, I asked the hairdresser to make my hair light brown... and I got BLONDE! OMG ... But I wore this blonde hair for nearly 3 months at least, lol. But it always felt like a betrayal, haha... I felt like a stranger.

To be honest...

I'll share 10 honest things about me... with you! lol

1. I love cats. I have three cats and if I'd had more room, I would definately have more cats! Cats are so sweet and cuddly. Especially my himalayan cat loves me like I was her Godness, LOL... it lays before me like a devotee an purrs all the time *rrrrrr* they are really good friends who comfort me when I'm sad or something...

2. My natural hair colour is light brown. Yes, it is! Everyone is surprised when I'm telling that, because everybody considers me having dark brown or black hair because of my skintone and eye colour. Since I have multicultural roots, the light hair is the heritage of my European ancestry, while the complexion and eye colour come from my Indian/Arabian/South European roots.

3. I'm colouring my hair and doing Make Up, since I am 12 years old. The first things I did were red highlights and mascara , a few years later I began using eyeliner and khol liner.
My skills increased extremely in the past 8 months, since I began watching tutorials on youtube.

4. At first, I hated MAC! I really hated it. I won some items in a raffle 2 years before. It was Purple Haze Eyeshadow, Technakohl Liner in any purple colour and Dark Angel Nail Polish.
Well, Purple Haze hates me. It don't wanna come up onto my lid, lol. The Liner didn't show up either, it was not really pigmented... and I needed at least 3 coats of Dark Angel! I was so disappointed! I thought: What a mad quality for that money...
In january I got a 10% off coupon for an onlie drugstore... and since they've all been worshipping MAC so badly in the beauty community I usually write (http://www.beautyjunkies.de/) I decided to give MAC another chance. Good idea (well, not for my wallet...)! I bought Contrast, Seedy Pealr and Juxt and this time I was very satisfied and my MAC love began to increase...

5. I really want to convert to Judaism. Oh, yeah! The only problem is, that there isn't any synagogue close to where I'm living, which offers Gijur (converting). I hope you don't hate me now, lol. Judaism and Israel are the love of my live.

6. I call my lovely man my "husband", but in truth we are not married (yet...). It feels like he is my husband since we've been together for such a long time (nearly 5 yrs) and I think at age 33 he's too old to call him a boyfried, LOL.

7. On August 10 I'll finally begin to study cosmetology =)

8. I am the kitchen chief wherever I get the possibility to cook. I love cooking, and, yes, eating *sigh* which causes a little overweight. But I love good food too much as I would dispense for a better body shape. I can offer you dishes from allover the world, from traditional German to Italian, Indian, Asian, South American and African Food. 10. I already travelled to 3 continents (Europe, Africa, Asia) and visited 12 countries (Germany, Great Britain, France, Finland, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Tunesia, Egypt, Turkey, Israel and Kenya).
The most relaxing holiday we had in Finland... we were in a little "Mökki" (cottage) on a lake in the forest. And no one around us!
The most interesting holiday was in Kenya... we did a Safari! :-)
And as I told you, my beloved country is Israel... melting pot of different cultures...

I finally got Smooth Merge MSF from the MAC Colour Craft LE. Whew!

Originally I wanted to get Porcelain Pink but it was already sold out =( So I decided to get this one.
And this is so cute!
It sculpts my cheeks without using any contour things... and it makes them look like from a porcelain doll, hehe. Really love it.
